On 19 and 20 May, the 1st GIRF Congress was held in Naples - ISPOR Rome Group<\/a> for Future, which, recognising the importance of collaboration between industry, regulatory authorities and academia, promoted multidisciplinary networking among under-35s with this event.<\/p>\n

Pharma Value participated with Valeria Viola who, in addition to being a member of the Congress Scientific Committee, moderated together with Professor and researcher of the CIRFF Federico II<\/a>Valentina Orlando, the session on 'Data and Evidence in Health Care Decisions'.<\/p>\n

We were also present with the work of 2 oral presentations and their corresponding posters: \"Analysis of applications for inclusion of drugs on the 648\/96 list. Focus on CTS evaluations<\/a>\" by Ginevra Mastroianni, Sara De Franceschi, Valeria Viola (Pharma Value) and 'Clinical development and regulatory aspects: focus on reimbursed drugs in Italy'. The first was exhibited by Ginevra Giulia Mastroianni, the other realised in collaboration with MA Provider<\/a>by Giorgio Casilli.<\/p>\n

The prize for the best poster was awarded to our analysis of applications for drugs on the 648\/96 list. Special thanks go to Sara De Franceschi, our Data Visualisation Head. This award encourages us to continue this work trying, in the near future, to investigate which of these requests were early access (in the EMA authorisation application procedure or already authorised but not yet reimbursed in Italy either for new active ingredient or indication extension), off-label or established uses.<\/p>\n

Pharma Value was there and will continue to support activities of this kind because it is convinced that giving space to young people is the key to ensuring a valuable future, not only for the pharmaceutical sector.
\nDuring the first GIRF congress, there were 42 faculty members, 21 men and 21 women; only 9 of these were from the over-35s (and these were the leading session readings or some moderations); among the 11 oral presentations selected in blind 6 were by women and 5 by men.<\/p>\n

They are data. They are facts. Tomorrow we will measure whether these data have created inclusion and empowerment, because it is the responsibility of those with a voice, power and opportunity to share them with the young today<\/p>\n
